Tamron focused its attention on this market for of megapixel-resolution surveillance cameras from an early date, and last year it entered the market with a series of Vari-Focal lenses (DF003) compatible with megapixel-resolution cameras for box type cameras. Tamron, foreseeing the increasing variety in camera types, has now developed a built-in zoom lens compatible with megapixel-resolution cameras that can be used with high resolution speed dome cameras*.
*Speed dome camera: a camera capable of high speed 360 degree surveillance with endless panning/tilting functions.

* With its highly compact design which, despite achieving a more wide angle plus a bright F/1.6 maximum aperture, this lens, at just 81 mm long, will fit within current dome camera housing and platforms.
